The Story of HimosWorld Ltd (HimosMaailma Oy)

Founded in the summer of 2008, and enjoying bonded package travel trader status, Himos area hospitality industry organisation HimosMaailma Oy brings together the tourism service providers in the area as a single customer-driven service network. HimosMaailma is owned by almost 60 small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the area who offer services associated directly or indirectly with tourism.

The range of services covers:

• tourist services targeted at private visitors and groups (accommodation, activity and entertainment packages, ski lift and theatre tickets etc, restaurant and catering services, car rental, guide services etc)

• services associated with private functions, as well as meetings, conferences, away days, hospitality events and special celebrations held by companies and organisations

• services targeted at investors (construction, repair, maintenance, and interior decoration services)

• security services

HimosMaailma bundles up and sells services to customers on the one contact/one-stop-shop principle. HimosMaailma monitors the operating quality of its network of service providers and assists the network in continuously developing new local tourism products and services.

HimosMaailma's task is to offer its shareholders opportunities for business development, among other things by identifying investors and potential sources of funding for the realization of new business concepts, and by measures aimed at improving expertise and the operating environment. In addition the company supervises its shareholders' interests and represents the network in different contexts.
